Assists and executes business education, seminars and luncheons for our current workforce, along with professional
development and mentoring for our high school and college students.
Represents and educates the membership on issues and challenges presented by local, state and federal entities; monitors legislation as it pertains to the Chamber’s mission and business community; makes recommendations to the Chamber board of directors when positions on issues may be required; plans and executes candidate forums, Cracker Barrels, and legislative update sessions.
Plans and executes current standing Chamber events such as Taste of Spearfish, Annual Banquet & Awards, Community Picnic, Biker Bash and the Business Expo. Researches and creates sustainable additional non-dues revenue streams.
The Spearfish Chamber Young Professionals meet the first Tuesday of each month. Their mission is: Dynamically enhancing the community of Spearfish through effective leadership, enhanced global perspective, professional development, and networking for ongoing growth & impact. Encouraging our business membership’s young workforce, ages 21-40, through professional development, mentoring, social networking and volunteering.
